Ambient Air Quality & Noise

ERC provides short- and long-term quantitative, time integrated atmosphere measurement with excellent correlation to reference methods. We tackle all types of application, from single stack assessments at industrial sites or traffic impact of minor developments, to large industrial complexes or major city-center schemes. ERC uses industrial pollution model to carry out a huge variety of air quality assessments for Environmental Permitting Regulations (EPR), planning applications and risk assessments.

 

For changes to traffic flow on a road network, we calculate impacts both with and without the proposed scheme, clearly demonstrating the impact of the proposed development. The calculated impacts on air quality are presented for easy comparison against the relevant air quality standards, with concentration contour plots overlaid on digital maps to show how impacts vary across the surrounding area.

 

Envaserv boast of state-of-the-art flexible instrument to measure common air pollutants including ozone (O3), carbon monoxide (CO), carbon dioxide (CO2), sulfur dioxide (SO2), nitrogen oxides (NOX), nitrogen dioxide (NO2), volatile organic compounds (VOCs), hydrogen sulfide (H2S), particulate matter (TSP, PM10, PM2.5, PM1), noise monitoring and meteorological parameters such as temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and direction, liquid precipitation & barometric pressure.

 

These measurements are applicable for construction/mining sites community exposure studies (residential, schools, hospitals etc.), industrial compliance monitoring, nuisance dust detection, workplace monitoring, smoke/biomass burn-off.

 

Noise Mapping

Noise mapping is an integral part of developing an ambient noise strategy, and for ensuring that current and future noise levels are in compliance with existing national legislative standards.

 

ERC offers noise mapping service consistent with national and international requirements. We also have the capacity to develop noise dispersion model and mapping to assist companies in delineating regulatory compliance points, and also assess their impacts on sensitive receptors or receivers

 

Generally our air quality and noise studies comprise:

Stack Emissions

Envaserv provides on-site measurements of stack flue gases (SO2, CO, CO2, NO, NO2, NOx, O2), hydrocarbons (CxHy), particulate matter, smoke index, gas temperature and velocity, mass emissions, system efficiency. Envaserv uses this data set to create emission dispersion scenarios.

 

Water Quality

Envaserv is equipped with modern water quality equipment for on-site and real time assessment. Our portable state of the art equipment/monitors provide an easy way to generate real-time data, which allows real-time decision making. Essentially, they provide better on-site characterization, with pollution hotspots and contamination sources more easily identified.

Biodiversity Studies

Sediment

Envaserv sediment laboratory specializes under-listed of marine, estuarine, lagoon and freshwater environments. Our analytical works will support dredging, remedial investigation, feasibility studies and risk assessment. In many cases, this requires extremely low-level detection limits as these types of samples present unique challenges in analytical interferences caused by the matrices. PetroLab

 

Envaserv PetroLab specializes in on-site quality analysis of petroleum products  for bunkering fuel (ISO 8217 standard: 2010) and  lube oil for conformance to industry standards.

 

Testing your final product is critical to producing high quality fuel. Our oil, fuel and grease analysis covers a wide range of industries, including transport, water, power generation and electrical and mechanical engineering. We also provide services related to fuel pipeline and tank inspection, cleaning and calibration.

Effluent & Drinking Water

Envaserv is equipped with cutting edge equipment ( e.g. ICP MS, FTIR, Spectrometers)  for testing trace metals (e.g., As, Pb, Hg, Cr, Cd, Al, Ni, Zn, etc.), dissolved inorganic substance (e.g., cyanide, WAD-CN. Total cyanide), organic waste (BOD, COD), organic chemicals (pesticides and PCBs), oil slicks and thermal pollution.

Chemical forensics

ERC provides the highest standards for analysis and security in forensic toxicology drug testing. We provide unambiguous identification and quantification of specific drug(s) or chemicals.
